MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 443

Welcome to the 443rd edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the third of November - thanks to @justino for his help with one of the clips. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the song and date of both mystery clips, which are connected by a theme. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Good luck!

Answer: Congrats to @Zands on the incredible hintless win, their fourth, thereby crossing the halfway point to MJM Emeritus status! This week they somehow saw through the unannotated "YEM" tease in the "Mike's Song" jam and cracked the Nassau theme, identifying the 10/7/99 "Mike's Song" and 2/28/03 "Round Room" in the process. I'm taking a much needed vacation next week, but the MJM will return after the holiday. I'm thankful for all of you regular MJMers!

he does - a super impressive win considering how dirty that unannotated YEM tease is in the Nassau Mike's, but I'm assuming he figured that while I'm a sick bastard, I wouldn't force people to rifle through 500+ YEM pre-Nirvana sections

I thought it was a YEM and immediately gave up. I do think you are a sick enough bastard to make us do that! The Round Room was just as bad! Not even on the jam charts. . . evil.

Sorry guys! I'm a sucker for those bouncy and quirky Mike tunes.

I usually cross that bridge when I get there, but it would have made clear that the first clip wasn't YEM and potentially had a Nassau link

metawhy wait that first clip is from a Mike's song???? gonna check that out now

I knew clip 2 was from 2.0, just had no idea where in there

One reason I picked this jam is that it's a "3rd Disc" jam, as in all the good stuff on shows like 2/28/03 are on discs 1 and 2. When I still used CDs as my preferred music delivery system, I would often ignore, or at best, only listen to these 3rd discs a handful of times. Now all that is moot as everything I could possibly want fits in my hand. RoboPhish and Live Phish have made me realize what a fool I was !

right? the only hint that it's not YEM - and this is some next level Phish nerding - is that you can hear wisps of the siren loops in the clip (there are no siren loop YEMs pre-jam)

Been thinking a lot about this. You’re an even SICKER BASTARD for making us think it was YEM when it actually wasn’t.
